THE BUILDS…
1990 SUZUKI GSX-R750
This 1990 Suzuki GSX-R750 restomod blends the raw performance and unmistakable character of an early-generation superbike with modernized engineering and custom fabrication. The project began with a complete engine and carburetor rebuild, followed by an entirely new electrical system wired from scratch to replace the aging factory electronics.
The original aluminum rear subframe was removed and replaced with a custom-fabricated, bolt-on tubular steel structure, transforming the bike’s silhouette while providing a foundation for the redesigned bodywork. Handcrafted fiberglass components, including a custom seat cowl, nose fairing, and windscreen, complete the transformation. The result is a distinctive interpretation of Suzuki’s legendary oil-cooled GSX-R750, preserving its racing heritage while introducing cafe racer inspired styling.
1986 YAMAHA VIRAGO XV1000
This 1986 Yamaha XV1000 Virago represents a complete reimagining of Yamaha’s classic V-twin cruiser, transforming it into a purpose-built café racer through extensive custom fabrication and a unique drivetrain conversion. Powered by a 981cc air-cooled, 75-degree V-twin, the project retains the unmistakable character and strong low-end torque of the original Virago while introducing a more aggressive, performance-oriented design.
At the heart of the build is an unconventional engine conversion utilizing the crankcase from a 1982 XV920RH, one of Yamaha’s rare factory chain-drive Viragos. By transplanting the XV1000 engine components into the earlier crankcase, I created a hybrid 981cc V-twin that replaces the original shaft drive with chain drive, reducing potential drivetrain losses and allowing final-drive gearing to be optimized for stronger acceleration and improved rear-wheel torque delivery.
Beyond the engine, the XV920RH swingarm is the only other original Virago component retained in the finished motorcycle. The entire frame, fuel tank, and seat were designed and fabricated from scratch, creating a completely new silhouette around the classic V-twin powerplant. A modern Yamaha YZF-R6 front end and rear wheel bring contemporary sportbike components into the mix, complementing the custom chassis and chain-drive conversion.

1986 HONDA VF1000R
This 1986 Honda VF1000R restomod reimagines Honda’s legendary V4 superbike through a combination of mechanical restoration, modern design, and advanced fabrication techniques. The project began with a complete engine and carburetor rebuild, bringing the iconic 998cc V4 powerplant back to life while preserving the engineering that made the VF1000R one of Honda’s most distinctive motorcycles of the era.
The build incorporates donor components from a Ducati Monster, including the wheels, front forks, and braking system, introducing a blend of Italian sportbike engineering and classic Japanese performance. Departing from the original factory bodywork, the bike features entirely custom-designed fairings, digitally modeled and 3D printed using carbon-fiber-reinforced PET (PET-CF). This approach allows for a unique, contemporary interpretation of the VF1000R’s classic endurance-racing silhouette while showcasing the possibilities of modern additive manufacturing.
Currently a work in progress, the build will ultimately receive a custom paint scheme shown in the 3D rendering below. The result will be a distinctive fusion of vintage Honda racing heritage, Ducati-inspired chassis components, and modern fabrication techniques.
